Hey there, blogger friend! It’s time for another monthly income report. In February, I managed to make $10,133.22 with my blog, which is the second time that I’ve made five figures in one month with my blog – super exciting!

This income report may also be the last one that I write as a regular monthly income report. I’ve been thinking that instead of doing monthly reports, it could be more informative for you guys if I wrote an income report every time that my income is significantly different to what it’s been before.

That way, I can give you all the lessons that I’ve learned in one compact report, instead of producing multiple reports on a monthly basis. Let me know what you think of this!

February’s income was pretty similar to January’s (I earned $11k in Jan), but the income sources changed up a little bit.

In January, almost half of my income came from promoting Bluehost, which is the hosting provider I recommend for beginner bloggers. It seemed like a lot of people who had been thinking about starting a blog took the plunge after new year.

In February however, my income distribution was much more equal: my top earners were Bluehost (again), Mediavine and Amazon, and all of these sources earned me almost the same amount of income – a third a third a third.

My traffic grew significantly compared to January (more than 30%!) which explains why my Amazon and Mediavine earnings also grew by the same amount (Mediavine even jumped 50% compared to Jan!).

What Worked In February

Doing A Pre-Launch For My New eBook

In February, I spent a lot of my energy on launching my new eBook, How To Make A Living With Amazon Affiliates. This is only the second time that I’ve launched a product to my email list, and I’m happy that it went well.

I made $575 with the ebook even before it launched, and considering that my email list consist of only 2500 people, I’m super happy about it!

Now, my new challenge going forward is to create evergreen funnels that encourage people to buy it even when I don’t advertise the product to my email list.

Creating Tons Of New Content

I’ve been on a content creating spree ever since November and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. During some weeks, I’ve even published a new blog post every day.

As a result, my pageviews have now grown to 200,000/month (as of 12th March), which is 100% growth compared to 6 months ago.

I’m super excited about this, because more pageviews = more passive income from Mediavine ads.

Ideally, I would like to continue producing new content until there’s enough for me to just keep pinning old blog posts. In terms of income, around $3,500 from Mediavine would be ideal to diversify my income away from just affiliate marketing. We shall see if this happens!

I’m also thinking about creating a new course that covers my new & improved Pinterest strategy completely. Let me know what you think about this!

Now, Let’s Talk About Traffic!

Pageviews: 179,238 (up 32% from January)

Sessions: 133,981

Users: 120,491

Email Subscribers: 2468 (Thanks to ConvertKit!)

I was positively surprised by how much my traffic grew in February. And as I’m writing this report, it’s grown even more! At the moment, my pageviews are over 200k per month, which is pretty insane!

I’ve written lots of content and done lots of changes to my Pinterest strategy in the past few months, and I’m happy to see that it’s working out. If you’re looking to boost your own blog traffic, I recommend focusing on Pinterest first instead of Google.

There’s two resources that I recommend for getting pro at Pinterest: the Pinterest Traffic Avalanche course by Create and Go and my own ebook, Explosive Traffic With Tribes. What I’m Focusing On In March

Growing My Email List With Paid Advertising

Growing my email list has been a top priority for me since early 2019, and I’m happy that it’s grown to the extent that it is today. However, my list is still very small compared to most other bloggers, because I started growing it so late.

That’s why I’m going to be launching a couple of paid campaigns in March that are aimed to grow my list.

If you haven’t started growing your email list, I recommend doing it ASAP – you won’t regret it. I’ve used ConvertKit since I began nurturing my list.

I’ve always paid for their service, but luckily they’ve now created a free service for new bloggers too! If you have under 1,000 subscribers, you can use ConvertKit completely free. (Check it out here!)
