Why Has there been a price increase?
Vigneron has said that this ‘mid-price increase has occurred due to the higher cost of materials such as diamonds, gold, and platinum. Cartier has stopped buying diamonds and precious metals from Russia and so this will cause the prices of some Cartier pieces to increase as the materials will have to be sourced from other places.
The strengthening of the Chinese Yuan and American Dollar against the Euro has also contributed to these price increases.
