Bikinis from Kiini are gorgeous but very expensive. Luckily, there’s plenty of other sites to get Kiini look alike bikinis! You may or may not have heard of the NYC born brand before, but you have definitely seen its designs – they’re distinctive and they’re everywhere.

Ever since their debut in 2013, the Kiini brand has been seen on celebrities like Cara Delevinge, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Margot Robbie and Bella Hadid, to name a few, and of course Instagram’s own bikini bombshell, Tasha Oakley.

Kiini is known for it’s very distinguishing pattern: the bikinis incorporate both neoprene fabric as well as crochet detailing – add to that a ton of color and you have the Kiini design!

A fun fact about the brand is that its designer and CEO, Ipek Irgit names the colors of Kiini by her friends daughters – from Kaia to Lolo and Tasmin, each daughter gets a unique design named after her, how cute! (Apparently there is now a waiting list as Irgit’s friends have had too many daughters for the designer to keep up with them!).

The Kiini bikinis are sold separately as tops and bottoms and cost around $120 to $160 per garment, making the total bikini set a whopping $280! If you feel like you can afford the designer set then by any means, go for it.

However, I think that unless Kiini comes out with other innovative designs, we will have a new hot bikini designer brand by next year. For this reason, I’m personally inclined to shop from fast fashion brands that offer Kiini look alike bikinis for a much more affordable price. So, without further ado, let me show you my best picks for this season’s hottest bikinis!

My own personal favourites from this list were the bikinis by Pretty Little Thing, especially the white bikinis. I’m not sure if it’s because I prefer the bikinis to the other brands (they do look strikingly similar to Kiini bikinis!) or because the models look steaming hot (Jess Hunt is my girl crush!).

Whichever the case, Pretty Little Things has recently become one of my go to places for clothes because they are just so affordable. Another brand favourite is Lions Tech – I could really see myself wearing the yellow bikini piece when I have a dark enough tan on my skin. Which of these picks was your favourite?

Much like the original designer, these brands have opted for neoprene fabric with crochet detailing on the edges of the fabric. Well, all except Ingear. In addition to that, Topshop has added some fun embroidered details on the top half of the bikini that truly makes the swimwear look as detailed and intricate as intimate  pieces.

Do you own any similar bikinis to Kiini? If not, would you rather buy the original design or opt for a more affordable version? I would be really interested to know from those of you guys who would rather choose to go with the designer’s label, so if you’re one of them, let me know in the comments why you prefer that!
