Love them or hate them, Louboutin heels are the most recognisable shoes in the world. According to the press, the red soles came to be after 2 years of Louboutin being in business. To differentiate from the crowd, Louboutin tried painting one of his shoes with his assistant’s red nail polish and ended up loving the result so much that he decided to include the signature colour in all of his designs.
The red sole is now trademarked, so it is illegal for any other company to come out with this design element. Keeping that in mind, I have made a collection of my favourite Louboutin dupes, minus the red sole (I ain’t trying to get in legal trouble!).
The Louboutin heels are notorious for being excruciatingly painful due to the angle of the heel. I can’t recall how many times I’ve heard famous YouTubers list Louboutin’s So Kate as one of their worst designer purchases because of how uncomfortable they are.
With that said, it would be a good a good idea to try one of the So Kate dupes listed below before committing to a $675 purchase that might end up just as home decor on the shoe shelf.

In today’s post I am focusing on the iconic Manolo Blahnik shoes, or rather Manolo Blahnik dupes. We all know that Manolos made their most notable mark in the fashion world through Sex And The City. Carrie Bradshaw had dozens upon dozens of these gorgeous heels in her wardrobe and even married Mr. Big in one of the pairs.
The blue Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps played an iconic role in Sex and the City: these were the shoes that Carrie Bradshaw wore to her wedding, and brides all over the world are still purchasing these!
Also, Manolo Blahniks and Jimmy Choos are the main reason why Carrie’s shoedrobe came to a whopping $40,000 in value. (Totally realistic and normal for a Sunday columnist to achieve, right!)

These blue satin pumps seem to have a cult of their own – they were made so famous by the SATC franchise that almost every season a major high street retailer seems to come out with a dupe of this pair. This season I found them from Marks & Spencer as well as Dune – who could’ve known that they both did such great dupes!
(Dune is now sold out, unfortunately.) I’m especially happy about this as both brands are known for their excellent quality. Marks & Spencer in particular make extremely comfortable shoes as they also include a corrective insole in their design. 10/10 would reccommend trying them out!
Manolo Blahnik Dupes: Hangisi Satin Pumps in Other Colours
There are of course dupes of these shoes in many different colours, from many different designers. I’ve put together the best items that I could find of this iconic shoe.

Manolo Blahnik Dupes: Hangisi Satin Flats
Manolo Blhanik offer other shoes than heels as well. The designer’s most famous and recognizable design is the Hangisi shoe with embellishments whether it be in the form of flats or heels.
Some high street retailers such as Dune have recently come out with dupes for the Manolo Blahnik flats as well for those girls who can’t be bothered to wear heels on an everyday basis, but still want the luxurious look that embellished shoes provide.
As always, Amazon is also a great place to find dupes for these shoes, and as Amazon has a money back guarantee, you might be interested in purchasing from some of the retailers listed on the popular site.

In this post I decided to focus on Manolo Blahnik’s most famous, iconic shoes and I hope you liked it. If you want me to find dupes of any other shoes or bags that he has designed, let me know in the comments and I can always try to find more dupes.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I am doing weekly blog posts about designer dupes now, so stay tuned for my next one and don’t forget to check out my previous ones, some of which are linked down below. Requests of any designer are also welcome!

Many of us like the look and feel of sheep skin boots, but would rather buy a cheaper version of Uggs than pay the full price for these ‘designer boots’. Uggs normally cost anywhere between $150-$200, which is quite a steep price for some fluffy footwear, even though they keep us warm through out cold winter and fall days.
Luckily, there are plenty of Ugg look alikes that offer similar footwear for a fraction of the price. I’ve gathered some of the best examples of Ugg look alike boots that are made from authentic sheep skin or suede in this article, so keep reading if you want to find out the best deals!
All of the boots that I’ve linked to are available in multiple different colors, so if you spot something that you like, but would want to see it in a different color, just click through to see if your preferred color is available!
Some retailers sell boots like Uggs that aren’t made form authentic sheepskin nor from real leather, and are thus inferior when it comes to protecting us from the cold. Although it may not be the most ethical practice, animal skin and animal products like wool have been used for centuries for a reason: they offer better means of protecting us against the elements, especially when it comes to shoes.
Even though faux leather or faux wool boots may be a more ethical and environmental fashion choice, it’s hard to say for sure what materials actually go into these accessories. “Faux leather” and “vegan leather” are very broad categories and although there can definitely be a lot of high quality products that are produced from these materials, there is no official guideline of what “vegan leather” is actually supposed to contain, and thus quality can vary.
What About Synthetic Materials?
Moreover, if you’re looking to buy a cheaper version of Uggs that is made of polyester or other synthetic materials, you might want to reconsider. The look of the boots might be identical to the authentic Uggs, but the feel of them is completely different.
This is coming from someone who has actually worn synthetic Uggs in the winter, and it’s not the most pleasant experience – they won’t let your feet breathe, nor will they keep your feet warm. Uggs made from synthetic materials are good to wear if you want to be seen in Ugg like shoes, but they aren’t great shoes to wear otherwise.
I decided to link to one pair of synthetic boots on this list (the last pair!) simply because of their cute look. I’m not suggesting that this pair will be amazing quality, but if you’re after a quirky pair of fall boots, why not try this one!
Can You Wear These Ugg Look Alikes When It Snows?
The boots that I’ve linked to are mostly made from the same materials that real Uggs are made from, so you should treat them in the same way as regular Uggs. So, with that being said, no – you shouldn’t wear these Ugg look alikes during rain or snow, because sheep skin is not waterproof. You will just end up soaked!
Can I Use Suede Protector On Uggs Or Ugg Look Alikes?
Yes, you can. The outer layer of Uggs as well as these cheaper versions of Uggs are made of suede, which means that it’s perfectly fine to use suede protector to take care of your boots and to clean them.
However, Ugg has also released a sheep skin boot care kit, complete with a regular sheep skin protector spray, conditioner, freshener as well as a comb for those of you who are looking for a specific kit to take care of your sheepskin boots! Compared to what you’re getting, the retail value is very affordable.
Can You Wash Your Uggs In The Washing Machine?
While it may tempting to shove your Uggs into the washing machine, Ugg officially advises against it. If you put your Uggs into the washing machine, they might never recover! Instead, take them to the dry cleaners, or clean them with a sheep skin cleanerand finish with a suede cleaning brush.
How To Clean The Insides Of Ugg Look Alike Boots
There are two main problems that you will face when cleaning the insides of UGG boots: odor and fungus. Odor is relatively easy to eliminate, as you only need to use a disinfecting cleanser with water and gently swipe it across the insides of your boots. Even an odor removing spray will do wonders.
Fungus on the other hand, might be a little bit trickier to get rid of. Your best bet is to use an anti-fungal spray on a regular basis.
However, if fungal issues and odor persist, you can also replace the insole of your footwear, which will take care of most problems associated with your boots! Amazon has a great variety of fluffy insoles from UGG & other brands, which perfectly fit into both UGGs and UGG look alike boots! You can check out their collection HERE.

Before moving on to autumnal wear for good, I wanted to cover a few more summer essential’s on the blog – notably, Hermes sandals look alikes. If you’ve been on Instagram at all this summer, you would’ve noticed that most trendy fashion bloggers are all sporting these shoes or their dupes.
In particular, the designer sandal that has become a particular hit is the Hermès Oran. The sleek slip on sandal comes in a small block heel option or completely flat, standing out due to the H shaped strap and contrast stitching, is available in 21 different colours from tans to metallic.
Whilst they might come with a hefty price tag they are a comfortable luxury, that if looked after will last you summer after summer. They look great with classic summer looks like cut offs or summer dresses but also can be dressed up for more office appropriate looks.
Victoria’s Secret model Elsa Hosk has incorporated them into her off-runway streetstyle, supermodels Elle McPherson and Helena Christensen wear them on the school run and the Olsen twins are inseparable from their brown pairs, and it near impossible to see a fashion blogger wear anything but a sleek pair of Oran’s during the summer months.
Hermes is know for having some of the most expensive handbags in the luxury fashion industry, with the Kelly and Birkin bags sometimes selling for more than $100,000. Their other items aren’t cheap either with these sandals being a prime example – for this minimalistic, simple design you would need to cough up about $700 per pair.
Not everyone has the means or the luxury to treat themselves to such a high ticket heritage brand piece, the $700 price tag is likely to blow most shoppers budget. There are plenty of dupes and alternatives of the Hermès Oran sandals on the market so you can get that Instagram worthy look for less.
Steve Madden’s Greece sandal has a similar pair of backless leather slides for a fraction of the price and it comes in 7 colours from the on trend rose gold to brights like yellow and red, and classic nudes. Steve Madden also have a rhinestone pair for those who want to add sparkle to a day outfit without feel too self-conscious or a to accessorize a party outfit with flat shoes.
Meiren’s leather slippers offer a similar aesthetic to the Oran’s with the geometric leather strap, flat rubber soles and slip on style.Their metallic finish adds a bit of fun to a simple summer outfit or add that additional night time touch to a summer dress. All their shoes are leather lined with a 0.5 inch heel and are suitable for people with wide feet.
I hope you enjoyed these dupes and found some good ones to buy if you were on the lookout for them!
What’s The History Behind Hermes?
The house of Hermes is one of the oldest and most luxurious fashion houses in the world, known for their handcrafted bags and silk scarfs.
Thierry Hermes, born in 1801, first established Hermès as a Parisian harness workshop dedicated to making leather saddles for European noblemen. Over the following decades he developed his business into a prestigious saddlery. He began to produce leather bags to feed the horses and to carry accessories for the riders.
It was only after Thierry’s death in 1880, with his sons taking over the business, did Hermès set their sights on selling internationally. In 1914 the company were one of the first to introduce zippers on leather goods, four years later they constructed their first jacket for Edward, Prince of Wales.
Hermes introduced their first women’s apparel collection in 1929 and their iconic Kelly bag in 1935 followed. In 1937 they started selling their iconic silk scarfs, as seen on the likes of Jackie O, inspired by the jockeys’ colors.
The Kelly bag became the must have item after Hollywood actress turned princess Grace Kelly was seen carrying the originally named Sac A Depeches on the front of Life Magazine.
In the 1980’s actress Jane Birkin met the Hermès president Jean-Louis Dumas on an airplane and complained about the lack of travel friendly purses, this inspired the Birkin bag, which has a six year waitlist.
After Martin Margiela left the fashion house in 2003 the brand was given a high fashion spin with the hiring of Jean-Paul Gautier. The brand’s rise to be the iconic luxury brand it is now also involves TV plots.
In a 2001 episode of Sex and the City Samantha uses one of her celebrity client’s names to skip the Birkin bag waiting list (making the real life waiting list triple after the episode aired) and in 2005 Gilmore Girls featured a storyline involving Logan gifting Rory a Hermes handbag despite her having no clue how valuable it was.
As of now, Hermes’ reputation and value is without doubt known to most people who are at least slightly interested in luxury fashion. The brand has even established itself as an alternative investment option for those who are looking to make money . Reportedly, the value of a Birkin has increased 500% over the last 35 years, and it’s expected to at least double in the next 10 years.
Whether or not these sandals are as good of an investment as the Birkin is debatable, but if you like the look, you can at least get the dupes to try them out.

Gianvito Rossi dupes might be one of those dupes that you didn’t know you already owned. The plexi trend, originally started by Kanye West’s Yeezy line, has been so in for the past few seasons that we see imitations of all transparent designer items on the high street at most times.
Speaking from personal experience, I actually own two pairs of Gianvito Rossi dupes and I wasn’t even aware that they were dupes when I bought them – I needed some cheap shoes for a night out and went to my local Primark (the UK version of Target) to see if I could find something appealing for a minimal price, and there they were!
And Primark isn’t the only place where you can grab a similar pair to the $500 designer item – shops like Zara, Topshop and Pretty Little Thing have all had their versions of the shoe that come and go.
The fact that high street retailers have been able to produce these shoes in masses might be a concern to the designer, but not to us as customers (at least I rejoice over the idea of saving some cash!). Although the design of the shoe is very distinguishable and unique, it doesn’t have any trademark protected design elements or logos on it, so at the end of the day, it’s just a shoe.
Because of this, it’s quite easy to find nearly identical dupes for this great party heel. In fact, a quick Amazon search left me with 13 different dupes that look as amazing as the original for as little as a tenth of the original price.
So, if you’re looking for a classic, chic and elegant shoe that’s great for both the office and for partying, consider getting one of these look alikes!

Out of all these shoes, my favourite ones are the simple black and nude heels. Why you may ask? It’s because they are the most practical and make your feet look the nicest. I currently own two pair of Gianvito Rossi look alikes (you guessed it, in black and nude), and I find that time and time again I reach for the nude pair more than any other pair in my wardrobe.
The nude color not only goes with everything in your wardrobe, it also elongates your legs in an incredible way. Contrary to what you might think, the plexi material actually helps to make the shoe look even more elegant.
The “Comfortable Louboutins”
You could get a pair of heels that had a similar shape without the plexi material from Louboutin, however the shoes are painfully uncomfortable. The fact that the Gianvito Rossi shoes have a plexi lining not only adds a nice touch to the aesthetics of the shoe, it also makes them extra comfortable.
So comfortable in fact that Gianvito Rossi has been called the “creator of comfortable stilettos” by the esteemed Telegraph. The newspaper even goes as far as stating that Rossi’s designs are ‘mathematically balanced, in refined proportions, neither too high nor too pointy’.
While I have my doubts about how much science has actually gone into the design of the shoes, the verdict rings clear – these shoes were made for walking. And with that, hopefully the look alikes were too – after all, they have all the same mathematically balanced portions.
The Rossi Dynasty
While Gianvito Rossi may be a relatively new brand in the fashion industry, the Rossi name certainly isn’t. Gianvito Rossi is the son of Sergio Rossi – one of the preeminent Italian shoe makers from 1966 onwards. According to the Telegraph, Gianvito grew up living upstairs from the family’s shoe factory, inhaling the fresh scent of leather and being very involved in the business his whole life.
The Sergio Rossi brand was sold to Gucci in 2000, and both the son and dad stayed out of the industry for a while. However, shoes were so much in Gianvito’s nature, that he quickly felt the need to get back in the game. And so, Gianvito Rossi was founded in 2007.
It remains to be seen if the father-son tradition will continue in the future and if there will be a third successful footwear brand under the Rossi roof – only time will tell. For now, the Gianvito Rossi brand is thriving and there are no signs that point to the growth slowing down.
What To Look For In Dupe Shoes
Although the design of the shoe is arguably the most important thing when it comes to shopping for dupes, it’s useless to buy a shoe that will just sit in your wardrobe if it doesn’t fit properly.
It might be hard to shop for shoes online as you never know how they will fit before you try them, but there are a few things that you can pay attention to when deciding if the shoe is a right fit for you. Apart from the obvious (i.e. check customer reviews and settle for heels that are a moderate height), there is one thing that I urge you to do.
My number one tip when buying heels no matter if they are expensive or cheap is to look for built in insoles – trust me, these make a world of difference. The way that the insoles support your foot is even superior to the way that removable insoles support feet and the best thing is that you can’t even feel them.
Luckily, all the Gianvito Rossi dupes that I’ve mentioned in this post come with built in insoles – hooray!
