Hey there, fellow blogger! It’s time for another income report and I’m SO excited to be sharing this with you! The last month was an awesome month for me, and I made more money than I’ve ever made! Like you can see from the title, my grand total came to almost $6k, which is just insane!
Just a week before the end of October I was calculating my monthly income and it was just shy of $5k, and I remember being so excited about potentially breaking that elusive number. And then, during the last week, somehow I made some extra sales and got offered a sponsorship, which took me to almost $6k this month.
I can’t tell you how excited I was during that last week of October! And I still am – I have high hopes for November and December to continue on the same trajectory. I’ll tell you what I did in October and what I plan to do in November and December in just a bit, but first, let’s dive into the numbers!

Take Your Amazon Affiliate Earnings To The Next Level!
Want to boost your Amazon earnings but not quite sure how to do it? Let me show you!
Every month, I make between $1,000-$2,000 directly from Amazon. It’s consistently one of my top sources of income.
In this book, I show you exactly how I find lucrative blog post ideas and turn them into money making machines. And the best thing? After the work is done, the income is passive!
Email Subscribers: 1637 (+233, thanks to ConvertKit!)
I finally hit 100,000k pageviews!!! This has been one of my longest blogging goals!
Most of my traffic comes from Pinterest, and if you’re looking to boost your own blog traffic, I recommend focusing on Pinterest first instead of Google.
If you are wondering where I drive most of my traffic, it’s from Pinterest. There’s two resources that I recommend for getting pro at Pinterest: the Pinterest Traffic Avalanche course by Create and Go and my own ebook, Explosive Traffic With Tribes.
What’s Up In October
Like you can see from my numbers, my traffic was up by a lot this month (about 15%), and my income followed suite. A lot of my income came from affiliate marketing this month thanks to 1) increased traffic 2) The Genius Blogger’s Toolkit sales 3) Youtube advertising.
I used Youtube ads to promote an affiliate product that has a very high commission, and so far for every dollar that I’ve put in, I’ve gained two in pure profit. It seems to be working really well! If you haven’t used Google Ads before, you can also claim a free £120 / $120 credit for your ads if you’re using one of their services like GSuite, so I definitely recommend at least trying them out!
In October, I also made more money than usual from my display advertising. If you’re part of my e-mail newsletter, you would’ve already heard about this, but I managed to bump up my RPM to $16 in October, and as I’m writing this, my RPM has already gone beyond $20. Super exciting stuff! In my case, this meant an extra +$250 compared to September, and in November, I should be making about $1,500 just from ads, if not more. Exciting!
October was a month of many milestones for The Chic Pursuit: I finally broke 100k pageviews per month on the blog, and I made the most I’ve ever made. But that’s not all! Things were looking well in my personal life too, Ian and I celebrated 2 years of being together, and both of our birthdays. Well, mine was on the 2nd of November, but it’s very close!
We went to an amazing spa resort here in the UK and had a very blissful stay. So nice! 🙂
What I’m Focusing On In November
Okay, so I’m going to have to completely eat my own words here, because last month I wrote that I would NOT be focusing on traffic, and would instead be focusing on adding more products to my shop.
WELL, I’ve decided to go the complete opposite way. I’m going to be focusing heavily on traffic and ad income until the end on 2019, and publish a new blog post 3 times a week to drive traffic.
The ad income during this period is just too good, and I don’t want to miss out. In January, I’ll focus back on product creation and marketing.
I’ve created a lot of posts for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I’m planning to do about 8 more. This means that there will be about 32 blog posts in total before the year ends. Yep, I’ve been pretty busy in the past few weeks!
Another thing that I’m prepping myself for is Black Friday. Ever since Black Friday last year, I’ve been thinking about Black Friday 2019 and how I could run promotions better.
Last year, I didn’t really do anything special, but this time around I’m planning to run some Facebook ads and potentially Pinterest and Google ads too.
I’ve never ran Facebook ads before, so I don’t even know how it’s going to go. Hopefully it all goes well!
I’m currently listening to the Brilliant Business Moms podcast by Beth Anne Schwamberger and I’m also going to finish her Facebook course before launching any ads – these were a part of Genius Blogger’s Toolkit and I’ve LOVED her stuff before, so I’m sure the FB ads course is going to be good too.
That’s all from me this month – I’m wishing you lots of success in this busy Q4! Let me know what you’re biggest goal for this month is in the comments!
