The Ultimate Guide To Dior Saddle Bag Dupes
The New Year is in full swing, but that doesn’t mean that the fashion world has been caught in any new trends. Actually, it’s quite the opposite.
If you’ve been active on Instagram over the last couple of months, you would have seen that Dior has re-launched their saddle bag from the 90’s with a bang. Every influencer and their mom is wearing it!
The Dior saddle bag was originally launched in 2000 and soon became a hit after being featured on Sex And The City as well as being seen on the hands of many Hollywood It-girls, including Paris Hilton and Beyonce.
By the end of the year, Dior’s accessories sales were up by 60%!

Dior’s then designer, John Galliano, became so invested in the bag that he designed 12 iterations of the bag, all inspired by 12 different nations.
The saddle bag enjoyed many years in glory and Dior was certain that they had launched a new classic. However, the party only lasted for about 7 years. After that, the sales began to decline, and with Galliano’s departure in 2010, the bag left the shelves of Dior.
So what happened, why is it back now?
Nowadays there seems to be a lot of demand for vintage items and there’s a widespread “logo mania”. Key influencers like Beyonce started wearing the vintage version of the bag again, and Dior took notice.
Now, they’ve brought back the bag completely and are promoting it like no tomorrow.
If you follow any fashion influencers on Instagram, you would have seen that everyone from Xenia Adonts to Tamara Kalinic to Leonie Hanne is wearing the re-vamped vintage bag.
Even though the price is a steep $2000 per purse, I’ve found a few very good dupes that look almost identical to the bag and only set you back by about $70. So, if you’re ready to buy in to the trend, scroll down below to see my best picks for Dior saddle bag dupes!

How do you feel about this bag’s unique, kidney-like shape? Are you a fan or are you going to wait out until this trend passes?
Personally, I thought the promotion of this bag was a little bit over the top on social media, which turned me off for a while. However, now that the bag isn’t shoved down my throat every time that I log into Instagram, I actually quite like it.
I’m still a little bit torn about how I feel towards the monogram print: usually I love monograms if they’re subtle (especially if we’re talking about Louis Vuitton), but in Dior’s case I would opt for a full colored dupe.
The monogram is beautiful, but I haven’t seen it a lot in Dior’s current collections, so it feels outdated and vintage. If Dior were to bring back other accessories with this print, I would probably change my mind.
Out of these bags that I found, I prefer the tan and the red the most. I feel like they complement the shape of the bag in a very nice way.
