Today’s post is all about the best pool floats for adults: whether or not you have a pool, I think it’s safe to say that Instagram has instilled a desire in our hearts to own a couple of fancy floats.

Even though I don’t personally own a pool, I definitely want a couple of these for the summer holidays when I go away to the South of France.

However, if you’re from the southern states of the US or Australia, you’re probably a little bit luckier in getting pool party invitations than I am, and these giant pool floats will be an excellent purchase if you can make day trips to the beach or a pool from your own house.

As I’m sure a lot of you remember, pool inflatables became kind of a big thing a few years ago when unicorn pool floats went viral on Instagram. I’m sure I’m not just speaking for myself when I say that a lot of people bought these floats just to get a good Instagram shot, and there’s nothing wrong with that!

Unicorn pool floats continue to be very popular, but they may also seem a little bit passé to some. For this post, I wanted to look around the Internet to see what other cool pool floats are available on the market and I found quite a few amazing ones!

I wanted to point out that the retailers often offer quite a variety in colors, so if you see a float that you like but would prefer it in a different color, have a look through the link to see if the retailers offer the same pool float in your favorite color!

The price points are also rather different, ranging from affordable to a splurge depending on size and quality.

Should You Buy A Luxury Summer Pool Float or An Affordable One?

If you’re having a hard time deciding what pool float to choose, consider a few factors such as the material of the product and the size of it. More expensive luxury pool floats are made of thicker, more durable material and often have more vinyl layers on the product.

These floats are best for adults who have kids or pets and don’t want to stress about breaking the pool float.

On the other hand, if you don’t demand much from your pool floats, you can opt for cheaper pool inflatables that have a single vinyl layer coating. However, these are not as thick and may deflate during your pool time, so think about if this will be an issue for you!

How To Store Your Summer Pool Floats

If you have a pool in your house, it might make sense to store the pool floats without deflating them during the day. There are a couple of options when storing pool floats in your own premises: you could invest in an outdoor pool organizer, or simply get an outdoor hanging towel rack.

However, if you’re not using pool inflatables on a daily basis, it will make more sense to just inflate and deflate the pool float when you need it.

If you are like me, you won’t need to worry about pool float storage systems. I only take my pool rafts out a couple of times a year, if that. I always use an electric mattress pump (like this one) because they just save so much time. You can actually deflate pool floats with the same pump, which is extra convenient!

More Retailers That Sell The Best Pool Floats For Adults

Anyhow, let me know which pool float from this post was your favorite and what other beach gear you are looking to buy this summer! Will you be going for bikinis, some outdoor gear like giant parasols or will you be laying low with your purchases?

Also, I’m really interested to find out how many of you who are buying floats actually own a pool yourself, or if you buy floats to take to the beach or holiday instead like me – let me know that in the comments!
