When I first moved away from my parents house I swore that I wouldn’t start buying home decor until I lived in a place that truly felt my own. Fast forward 6 years and countless rentals, I’m now living with my boyfriend who bought our current home a couple of years back.
So, for the first time I think it’s pretty safe to say that this house is going to be around for a while. Although this house is fully furnished, I’ve been looking around for new home decor bits that we could maybe incorporate into the house.
As a blogger, I’m always aware of items that look good in real life, but also on camera. For the most part, I’ve been incorporating rose gold items into my home decor slowly but surely, and a few nights ago I found myself on Amazon scrolling for more rose gold decor ideas.
Amazon may be known as the ‘everything’ store, but somehow I doubt that many of us have bought or even looked at bigger items such as furniture there. Well, what I discovered is that actually, a lot of the prices are even cheaper than IKEA!
A couple of my favourite steals include a velvet chair and gold bookshelf for $150, but there are so many more items worth looking at. Below are some of my favourite rose gold finds.
Amazon is great for picking up trendy items that you’re not sure you want in your house long term, such as anything rose gold. Velvet chairs and sofas probably fall under this category, because even though they are gorgeous and very much in style right now, who says that they will look as cool in 5-10 years time?
Personally I believe that if you are absolutely sure that you want to have certain home ware items around for good, it’s probably wiser to shop at Wayfair or other similar stores. However, if you’re just looking for trendy items, Amazon (and IKEA) are the best options to go with.
In addition to furniture, I found quite a lot of nice decorative items for the bedroom, living room and home office. Often, little touches are exactly what you need to feel like you’re house has had a makeover – drastic measures are not always needed at all.
My personal favourite home decor additions are cushions and blankets, because they are both practical and instantly elevate a room. Cushions are super affordable too!
Below are a couple of more beautiful home decor ideas that you might want to consider for your personal space too, especially if you are working from home and need to spruce up your office space a little bit.

Out of all of these items, my favourite ones have got to be the velvet chairs and the fur stools – aren’t they fabulous! Let me know which items are your favourites in the comments too.
