I find the business of beauty calendars endlessly fascinating. It seems like this niche industry has grown so much over the years and people are loving it. They’re loving it so much in fact that I was having a hard time finding beauty calendars to review for this list that WEREN’T sold out! Isn’t that crazy?

I started my quest to find the best beauty advent calendars straight after Halloween, and to my surprise most of the exceptionally good calendars were already snatched up – this was during the first week of November! And these calendars that I saw were not even your typical $50 dollar beauty calendars.

5 Best Beauty Advent Calendars In 2018 - How To Get Hundreds Of Dollars Worth Of Beauty Products For Cheap! Including Christmas calendars from MAC, NYX, Clairins, Glossybox and more. Check these out if you want something better than your average beauty subscription box! #adventcalendar #beautycalendar #beautysubscriptionbox #beautyadventcalendar

In fact, the most extravagant calendar that I remember seeing was Jo Malone’s annual Christmas calendar that sells for a whopping $450 dollars – and yes, this was sold out in the UK when I last checked. (However, it’s on sale still on the Neiman Marcus website, so if you’re after one, grab yourself one now!)

So, moral of the story? It might be a little too late to buy the most sought after beauty advent calendars  because they sold out in an instant. However, there are plenty of amazing beauty calendars that are still left on the market – although you might need to hurry  to get your hands on one to get it in time for December!

Below, I’ve compiled a list of my top 5 beauty advent calendar finds for this year to help you find one that is the right one for you.

There are so many calendars out there that just aren’t worth the hype and simply provide you with sample sized makeup, which is totally uncool. If you want to really get your money’s worth when it comes to beauty this season, check out these bad boys below.

Cons: It’s unclear if this calendar will be available only in the UK, or if it’s coming to the US. Keep an eye out over November on the MAC Cosmetics website for more information!

5. NYX Sugar Trip Calendar

(Best of drugstore calendars!)

What You’re Getting: $110 worth of NYX products, including 14 mid-size lip colors, 6 eyeshadow powders, 3 highlighters and 1 blush.

Why It’s Awesome: This calendar is perfect for those who don’t want to spend silly amounts of money on an advent calendar, but still want to get a good deal out of one. You’ll get a ton of different lip shades, ranging from mattes to metallics, velvets and glossy finishes.  The incredible thing about these is that they are suitable for all skin tones – so don’t shy away if you feel like advent calendars don’t normally compliment your complexion!

Best For: Beauty budgeters. This calendar is the best drugstore beauty advent calendar out this year!

Cons: NYX have included a couple of “crazy colors” like the blue and black lip shades, which I personally will never be using. If you’re like me, this may seem like a bit of a waste.
